Waikare Coastal Lettings is a local-only Android application published under the package name uk.co.waikarelease.marina.kareprop.lane.estate and operated by WAIKARE PROPERTIES LTD. It works as a readiness monitor for coastal holiday lets: you set up property profiles, answer readiness checks, save snapshots of the states you record, and produce summaries that you can keep for your own use or pass on.
This Privacy Policy explains what the app stores, where that information lives, and the choices open to you. It applies to the Android application and to the company's handling of any correspondence you choose to send to us.
The app is built as a local-first tool: there is no account to create, no cloud synchronisation, and no company-side store of the records you enter.
Information Held on Your Device
The app's core workflow runs on the Android device, and the information you create is written into the application's own local storage rather than to a company system. This local content is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of that workflow.
The following are typical of what the app keeps locally:
The app does not require personal identity information for its core workflow. Even so, user-created local content may contain personal information if you choose to enter it — a property address, an owner's name or a note about a guest, for instance — and such content simply stays on your device.
Photographs You Choose to Add
The app supports photographs that you select yourself. Where you add a photo or an image reference, the item is stored as local app content on the device and is not automatically sent to the developer. A photograph becomes part of your local records only when you choose it.
Using the app without any photographs remains possible, so a text-only set of records is a complete way to work.
You may export, copy or share a locally generated readiness summary through Android system actions, such as the share sheet. This occurs only when you initiate it, and nothing is sent anywhere by the app on its own.
Your information remains on the device unless you choose to export, copy or share it. Exported files remain wherever you save or send them, and once a summary has left the app it is no longer managed by the application.
Actions That Open Other Services
Some actions open services outside the app. Contact actions may open an external Android service such as a browser or an email client when you select them, and those external services operate under their own privacy practices.
If you email the company, the company receives your email address and whatever your message contains. That is direct correspondence and is separate from the workflow data the app keeps on your device.
What the App Does Not Include
The application does not include login or account registration. It does not include payment processing or subscriptions, and it does not provide monetisation features.
Its core workflow does not depend on cloud synchronisation, and the company does not hold a server copy of your local records.
Important Use Notice
Readiness results are generated from the information you enter yourself and are intended for informational and practical review purposes only. They do not certify legal compliance, safety compliance or property suitability, and they are not legal, financial, insurance or regulatory advice.
The outputs are a working aid for your own planning and do not replace formal professional assessment, inspection or sign-off.
Retention and Removal of Local Data
Local records remain on the device until you delete them, clear the app's local data, or uninstall the application. Individual items can be removed within the app, and the stored profiles, snapshots and preferences can be cleared as a whole.
Exported files remain wherever you chose to save or share them, outside the app's control. Local app data can also be removed through Android device settings or by uninstalling the application.
Security
Local app content is kept within the application's own storage on the device and is not held on company servers, so the safeguarding of those records rests with the device and with you. Protecting the device itself, for example with the screen lock you configure, remains with you, as does looking after any file you have exported.
If you contact the company by email, your message and address are received as ordinary correspondence and are kept only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. This policy sets out where your app data lives and who controls it; it makes no claim about the technical safeguards applied to any particular device or message.
Your Rights in the UK and EEA
The company is established in the United Kingdom. Users in the UK or the EEA may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including access, correction, deletion and restriction, where those rights apply under law, and availability depends on whether personal data is processed and on the circumstances.
The app's workflow data is held on your device rather than on company servers, so it can usually be managed there — by deleting records in the app, clearing local app data, or uninstalling the application. If you have written to the company by email, you may ask about that correspondence using the contact details below.
Children's Privacy (13+)
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. The company does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If such information is identified, reasonable steps will be taken to delete it or otherwise address the situation.
Changes to This Policy
This policy is revised when the app or the way it handles information changes. The revision date shown at the top of this page reflects the most recent version, and the current text always describes the app as it stands.
